The AHS OC 2006 kinda rocked. And still does. 1st day was ok. When I reached the hall 1 SC(student counsillor) was placing diff coloured stars on the seats and so I figured that the numbers were the OG numbers. I was supposed 2 wait 4 Cheryl but I went in 1st. Haha I switched the numbers on my seat n Cheryl's to 18. Later we realised that ours were different colours so we were hoping that we weren't grouped according to that, thankfully. 1st day we had Fear Factor and we had 2 do some weird stuff concerning bugs. Maybe I should spare the details. Should I? Ah nvm I'll just say. We were supposed 2 put a uncooked egg in our mouth n say a tongue twister but we failed so we had 2 eat a bee-kinda bug. One of our OGLs, Glene, just took one and chewed it n said it tasted like cardboard. He was persuading the two boys in our OG 2 eat it n be a man but in the end the SC-in-charge asked us 2 eat a little bit each. So we did. What Glene said was true I guess cos it had no taste. I think I ate part of the body n Cheryl actually ate the head! lol. We were taught lotsa cheers but only in the evening then we started cheering loudly.
Later in the night we had nite station games. We were in the chapel after dinner n had chinese praise n worship & some ice breakin games. Aft that the NSGs were split into 4 diff grps cos they were 4 clusters of OGs, Volan, Apus, Pavo and mine, Draco. In case u were wondering they were named after constellations that's y they sound weird lol. The games stations were called Silent Hill, Casino Royale, Beverly Hills and California fitness. Draco's 1st station was SH, n it was supposed 2 b the scary one. 2 of our OG members had 2 go into a super dark room and crawl under ropes 2 reach a drum, bang it n come back. I found out that it wasn't scary frm Rachel, 1 of the girls who went in. L8r Glene chose Cheryl, Wesley, Yi Yin and me 2 go 4 the story hunt part of SH. It was called 'Red Eye' n we had 2 find a story about ppl who comitted suicide in AHS. We had 2 search 4 storeys of lockers and trash bins for clues about the story and they were pictures of ppl looking scared and lotsa 'Boos' on them. It was pitch dark and they were candles which made it look spookier. There were supposed 2 be a guy walking around n we had 2 find him n he had 2 give us a scorpion 4 some reason. We didn't find him. Of course the story ain't real lah how could it have been? lol. 4 CF we had to bring our members thru 2 pieces of rafia tied on a chin up pole w/out touching the rafia. The 1st guy, Dixon, was heavy but Glene n Shu Qi(our other OGL) said he looked the strongest so we sent him over by carrying him and throwing him over(well, kind of). In the end only 2 ppl went across cos there was no time. Also, we had 2 guess names of songs by listening 2 them n Dixon n I guessed 1 each n Cheryl & Audrey guessed the rest(18)! Lights out was @ 1.15am n Cheryl, Jacinth(another friend frm Gong Hua PS) n me agreed 2 wake up @ 5.15 2 bathe. Wasn't a gd 4hr sleep cos I woke up every hr.
The next day, 29th, we had the CCA Showcase and the EDiots n CDS performed quite well. The day b4 Cheryl n I tried 4 badminton but they only took the really pro ppl(eg. Ave). So we joined Wushu but I wasn't so keen and later on Fri Cheryl lost interest 2 n was thinking of joining the EDiots or CDS. The NPCC & St. John's Ambulance brigade were the best show(s) in the UG sector. We were supposed 2 go out 2 eat lunch but it was kinda Cheryl's n my fault that we didn't go out cos we were bathing n they waited 4 us. I felt like killing the ppl in charge of the camp cos they told us we were leaving @ 2.30pm but in the end we were told it was 1.30pm sheesh. And I did NOT hear wrongly. We learned mass dancing n it was kinda cool but hard 2 learn. I left @ 6.45pm. Overall it was pretty fun...
I think I'll 4get bout writing bout the Au & NZ trip. New Year countdown: 2 days! N Cheryl if u r reading this b4 Monday the 1st call me.
