today had a lot of lessons where it was slack. PE was fun- the last bit. the first bit was running out of sch. to tanah merah and back. then rest for 3 minutes at parade square and run up the steep hill past the church back to the stadium. egad. i timed the run and to tanah merah and back was abt 12 min plus. gah. its like 2.4! then we had free time and mr lim gave me the key to the tower hall for badminton. hmm, playing w/o nets aint as real. oh well.
science: ms ng actually showed us some abortion vids. the first one showed the baby parts after they got sucked out (psst, they never come our in one piece). its quite freaky cos you see them black, white, crusty, bloody, etc. but it wasnt VERY disgusting. okay maybe to some, yes. but anw ms ng warned us and some chose not to watch the whole thing. all the vids took up like, 40 minutes. very slack.
the 2nd vid was the freakier one, in the sense that they showed how the baby got aborted and what tools they used (:x) its like this vacuum thing and some scapel and tweezer thingy where they suck the limbs/ body systematically then crush the head, so that it can be sucked out too. which is gross. and the guy was commentating on the process shown on ultrasound. quite vague and hazy but you could see the baby trying to move away from the sucker. looks like the baby knows its gonna die :x and they showed the head being crushed. one second, it was there. the other second, there were 2 bits. good grief.
well if anyone watched those vids, i think it'll change their view on abortion forever. its that impactful! but i think only a few ppl such as may, mary, teresa, edna, huiyi, hilary, louis, ade, kx, jeremy and me watched till the end, cos the rest took out their specs and rested their heads. lol. so, the message is: DONT ABORT. the baby is a life on its own. its not an 'it', its not a 'thing'- it has a gender.
erm yeah, so i'll end here to make the msg more impactful. not that it really matters now, but you'll rmb this day forever: 11 september 2008. also, a tribute to those who lost their lives in 911. you have been remembered through this 7 years, and you'll be remembered for many more years to come.
