due to popular demand, im back! woohoo. haha. the last week of school is now... OVER. ecstatic, yet sad. i didnt mind the post exams life in school and now theres 2 months of slacking up ahead. thats besides the hw of course, which no one wants to do straight away anw. talking abt hw, theres eng, math, chinese and ss, just the 4 subjs we have to take next year. wonderful.
yep. so, the last day of school was a bit saddening. though i only realised that at the last bit, when ms f gave us our results. mainly because she mentioned that those going IP wont need to return their report books and subj combi forms, etc. and also when it was spring cleaning, clara asked me:
"how would you feel if today was your last day in AHS?"
and yes, on friday, it dawned on me that people were leaving. leaving AHS, leaving 600 upper changi road. and they were never coming back. whereas others, well, they were leaving too. to another class, another world, another future. the reality was bleak for me; yet it was actually a good thing. earlier this year, when the bunch of us came together to talk about IP, it actually drew us closer than before. then, when the results came out and everyone was elated to find that they each got accepted, talks about IP interviews changed to talks about accepting the invitation.
then everyone accepted. except... me. cos i find that IP isnt a very nice prospect after all. okay this sounds extremely melancholic when i dont want to be. cmon, its the holiday spirit! and now im talking to myself. wonderful.
this post is gonna take very long because im hounded by amanda to tell her why triple sci is better and im supposed to very active in that convo, tgt with yanmin. hahaha. oh well. then again, even if i persuade ppl to take triple sci, i'll never ever be able to persuade them to take triple sci plus HIST. because for some reason, practically no one likes hist. gah. which is a sad fact. the only 2 people i know are mary and danielle. and the other person with triple sci hist is... clarence. who is from VS, so thats another thing all together.
subject combi form is due next tues, 28 nov. gah, and its TSG or TSH, cant decide. or rather, i'll prob end up with tsh, but as i said, no one wants to take hist. at all. argh! so this is what it feels like when they say, 'choose not because of your friends, but because of your interest.' and that sounds very quote-ish. oh well. God grant me the wisdom!
i hope to sit the singapore flyer on mon (27 Oct, btw. hint hint hint xD), but i think it may be completely booked. esp since its deepavali. dont know what to do on that day. shall go out. hey you know, i think the nikon D90 is quite cool. hahaha. aiming to get one before im off to london next year! woohoo. and as chia han sheng (or sth) said during the SYPC at ACSI, he felt that UK was dreary and 'cold' in the sense that they did not give him a sense of belonging. well, i'll see what my emotions convey then. and i still cant wait. i may have learnt espanol by then, and i'll try my hand (or should i say, mouth) at speaking spain's language. woohoo too.
another thing, 2008's final F1 grand prix in brazil is just next week, 2 nov. i'll wait with abated breath. just a 5th position, lewis. 5th. you can do it! usted puede hacerlo! 加油! sie kann das erledigen! a primero would be great, but a quinto would be just fine! :D lewis hamilton- primero uno.
