these two days have been the mini olympics and most of the time in school was either spent slacking on playing badminton. the latter was the fun bit. the first day C div infocomm was up against concert band and guitar. 1st one was harder to get through, actually. so at the end of the prelimanaries, it was 11-8, 21-13 respectively. played badminton freely from 9+ to 11 before eating and heading back to class to slack.
2nd day: this was the slackiest of all, but you could say it was fun. after assembly headed off to tower hall, expecting the 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th placing matches to start then. but no, it didnt. it was delayed for 3 hours! and infocomm's match (darius and i) was at about 10.45, against ncc/npcc. darius and i actually slacked infront of the tower hall all the while. practised for a few minutes or two and thats abt it. gah. though i'd rather it be like what it was cos i probably wouldnt have anything to do anw.
thought we would get thrashed as the ncc guy was good. managed to win 1st set 21-13 (or sth like that) and the 2nd match had to be stopped due to the Tang Quartet in the hall, which was not bad only if you appreciate it i guess. came back around 12.40 and finished the 2nd set with 21-18. and at 19 points, i turned around and saw yirong, meixuan, shuting and jeremie. lol apparently they were there to 'cheer'. when we missed a shuttlecock cos it was in the center and no one wanted to take it, yirong was like, 'WHAT. ugh.' hahaha.
but in the end due to some error, we won and... there was silence. then a few seconds later, yirong asked, 'you guys won?' 'yeah.' 'so gold?' 'yeah.' and then jeremie said, 'so you won?' then it was funny cos meixuan and shuting chided yr and jeremie for not cheering :P
guess you could say it was an eventful day. shook hands. and the ncc guy said sorry, but i guess he didnt really need to cos i didnt exactly know what he said sorry for. at least i wasnt nervous, not complacent, so thank You God for that. and thanks darius for being a great partner.
