yesterday's outing was fun :D haha after the interview (chionged from phy lab for nothing ._.) which we had to wait rather long for, we gathered in 2C (i think) for the race briefing. by the time i got there most were already seated in the groups. group III ftw! hahaha. the group consisted of Clarice (asst grp leader), Jacq (timekeeper), Yilin (the-super-sprinter), Chun Han, Chu Yan, Rui Shuang and me (leader).
if you want to know the race rules/info go to www.infocommclub.wordpress.com but basically we just had to go to different places to eat different food. each food's first word (in chinese) must be the last word of your previous food item. and so on. our route was novena-aljunied-eunos but we skipped aljunied and went directly to eunos since there was the '3-stop-allowance' thingy. so happened aljunied was 2 stops away from eunos, where the final challenge'll take place xD
i think we may have wanted to strangle novena if the place was a person. first food was salad (sha1 la1) so we went to long john's but they ran out of it. then to subway, searched one whole round for it (kind of my bad xD) and found out it was next to mph and we were right infront of where it was supposed to be. congratulations, subway closed down. so we just headed to the food court and bought fruit salad. then our next dish was la1 mian4 from the korean stall.
it looked like maggi mee and it cost 5 bucks. inflation these days. the stall aunty kept on laughing at us cos all 7 of us shared one bowl. i think most people who saw us eating would think we were all broke xD yilin bought cheng teng and some monstrous atrocity happened to the bowl after he finished eating it but im unable to disclose haha. but it was rather gross.
ran all the way down to novena mrt then took mrt directly to eunos. bought bread (mian4 bao1) from Q bread, then a bao1 from somewhere else and wanton (bao1jiao3) as our next 3 dishes. the way it was split was quite funny. our challenge which we had to complete at the end was simply doing push ups in public, yay:D my hand seems to be very good at lucky draws. good thing we didnt have to do embarassing stuff.
finally had to link bao jiao to shui guo which was chee kueh. so we bought orange juice. dunno what its called but it was jiao something and ended with shui. lol. to cut the long story short(er), we sprinted from tanah merah all the way back to school. fine, let's just say yilin sprinted. i ran then stopped halfway and continued somemore. shuting was screaming at us at tanah merah asking us to go faster haha. so yeah, we got 2nd and i felt like i had enough preparation for the 2.4 run alr xD
chilli cereal for the last group. wonder how it tasted like but i wont want to try it anyday. haha it was the latest ive come back from school. reached home at 1935! but it was really fun:D ah and i shall end here cos ive spent way to long on the com. lewis ftw! i know youve made a grave error but just learn from it and dont repeat it, okay? yeah and mclaren, stop being so sly :/
