REVELATION. 2:04 AM
GOODBYE 2009...  ... WELCOME 2010!  Time to welcome New Beginnings to life, to school, to work, to play, to relationships and to friendships. To everyone out there, let this be a year of happiness and joy, a year of excitement and a year of fulfillment. Of course, 2010 will not just be a year, it will be a journey. A journey that we would never forget. We will meet disappointment and grief along the way, no doubt. But, like every year, like every journey, there will be ups and downs. You can never stay at the top forever. On the other hand, you can never stay at the bottom forever as well. It's time to embrace what 2010 will give us; and what we can give 2010. What will we do that will mark a milestone in our lives? What will make 2010 the year that stands out from the rest? What will 2010 change in us? Perhaps 2010 will spark off a fire in us; something that we've never felt before. An urge to change something in this world, maybe. Or even a sudden interest in a sport, a hobby, a subject. We'll never know what change 2010 will bring till exactly one year later, when we are about to celebrate the birth of 2011. As the parties are going on, the sound of celebration filling the air, we'll look back and reflect- What special things happened in my life this year? I hope, that at that point, you'll be able to think of something that changed your life forever. If you can't, then 2010 would be just like another year, gone in the blink of an eye, wasted with the snap of your fingers. Find you passion, find your goal. This is the time to start, erasing the bitter memories of 2009 and renewing your strength. Forget your past losses, forget your past shattered dreams and broken hearts. It's the new year, and you've got all your life to live ahead of you. For me, I would definitely treasure this year to the best of my ability. It's finally my fourth and last year in Anglican High School. In 2007, when I was just a Sec One student, I somewhat remember thinking to myself: 4 years in AHS. That's a long, long time. And now, before I knew it, it's the start of my last year. Then its on to the real world. Two more years and its university for me, another three or four more years and its out into the World, as you see it today. I am gunning for gold this time. I shan't waste my life away simply studying 24/7 and realising at the end of the year that I wasted too much time studying. At least, that's what my brother told me too. It's the prime of yours-and my- life. Do activities besides studying! I shall stop here because then I will sound like some anti-studying freak going against the MOE. Now, I shall list the things that I enjoyed doing, or felt that it changed my life, or simply random wacky stuff I wish to remember throughout 2009.
