    REVELATION. 10:29 PM

I know this is pretty late, but here's THE-BIG-BANG'S NEmation clip! Still haven't seen any of the clips on tv though. No time to tune in 24/7 haha. But I've seen the general NEmation ad with still shots of the 10 clips. And it's really heartening to know about our youtube vid page views, but we shan't get complacent cos that doesn't tell a thing.

So everyone, please ask all your relatives and friends to vote for C1, AHS! :D the one about hands (it's very easy to remember, you know haha)! www.nemation.sg or through sms. or through 3G video call :D It'll be really great to get into the Top 3 and it's what we wanted for very long. So it'll be a dream come true for us :)

Yesterday and today after school was just awesome. CP Centre ftw! Mixing with the kids really makes you learn things about life you never thought you would believe. Those missionaries around the world, they keep on saying about how working with the poor and unfortunate changes their lives; how many of us really read it and go 'mmm YES, I totally know how you feel!'? Not many.

Well I'm not saying that I truly understand how the people living in slums feel like, etc. But experiencing the less fortunate opened my eyes a little bit wider to the things outside our own safe bubble. Today I met John* and Rashid* (names changed to protect privacy) who were affected by CP in all four limbs. Or at least, Rashid was. This means that they had little control over their muscles and it was either too stiff, or too soft. As such, their head also lolls about and they can't balance themselves.

So basically, their cognitive skills may be high, but they can't express themselves as their speech is also impeded. Crudely speaking, it's like talking to a wall. Except you know that they actually understand what you mean and try to respond. So today I was with them till 4.30pm and observed their behavior.

They had to go for speech therapy, massage therapy, motor skills therapy, etc or their muscles/bones will shrink or degenerate. And I heard from the teacher that Rashid was born premature at 6 months. John was born with very little oxygen, hence their disabilities. It's very sad, actually. They kept on drooling cos their mouth/jaw muscles were stiff/soft and they couldn't really control it. Okay firstly, they do not look ugly. They are cute. No doubt about that :D

They could understand words, just that they couldn't speak. And they couldn't sit or stand or crawl cos of their imbalance. But they are awesomely cute. It made me realise that there are people out there who actually care about them and are willing to nurture them back into society as normal kids. So kudos to the teachers and trainers at CP centre! \o Salute!

And teacher Aaron said to us yesterday: 'At your age, I never thought of volunteering. My life was just about basketball and soccer.' haha well actually most people nowadays do CIP for the sake of their hours.

But I guess after this I'll think twice.
